Hi, I know its probably a long shot but I made a purchase on a smartwatch (I used a 15% discount code the manufacturer sent me) but before it had even been delivered, I received a 30% discount code via email from the manufacturer for that specific model. I wondered if there was any advice around the possibility of getting the extra 15% discount off considering I literally just purchased the same item? (I assume just asking them and hoping is the most I can do?).

Ask them? Or return and re buy.

  • Hi Sarah, thanks, yes I am already asking them, which hopefully with the small leverage of not having to deal with return overheads will work but I wondered if there was anything rights-wise I can lean on (though I appreciate it is a longshot and most likely down to the disgression of the manufacturer)

I wouldn’t of thought you have any ‘rights’ Prices go up and down and codes come and go. Good luck

The right is to cancel the online purchase and re-buy with the new code (as commented above).

Yep thought that could be the case that’s why I suggested it, hopefully they might see that as hassle and honour it for the op x
