Refusing delivery

Options
I’ve ordered an expensive item that I’ve changed my mind about and the order cannot be cancelled as it has been processed. I was told I could refuse delivery? If I did what happens next? Does it get sent back to the company and I get a refund? Will I be notified? The delivery company is DPD. Will the item tracked if it’s refused and sent back to the company? I just worried as it’s and expensive item. If I tried to post myself it would be too expensive to send tracked? Any suggestions please?

In that case yes, the item will go back to the depot, and will then be returned to sender.
Once the sender has it back you should get a refund but there is probably more that can go wrong doing it this way.

Thanks for helping. Just found out that I can return buy requesting a return with dpd at a dpd drop off collection point shop or from my house. That way it’ll be tracked. So much safer than refusing delivery.

If you do that will you be charged for the return costs?
