Oyster card refunds

I rarely go to London now and can just as easily use contactless. The reminder about Oyster cards in the weekly e-mail last week made me log into my Oyster account to apply for a refund. I have done this before so expected it to be very quick, but when I hit the 'Apply for a product refund' button, I got the message 'If you would like to get a refund for this Oyster card, please call TFL Customer Services'. Does anyone know if the online option has stopped working?

I think they stopped online refunds at the beginning of the pandemic for season tickets, I called up and sorted mine back then.
Not sure if there is any other reason why can't refund online.
