Why not open a new gmail/hotmail throwaway address solely for purpose of dealing with this parking charge. Then when it's all over, let it drift into the stratosphere.baward said:I am just about to submit my appeal to APCOA. They are asking for an email address; is it ok to use my usual email? Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

Actually, a little used email address I have will be used. Thanks anyway.3

Sorry, one step forward; the APCOA website is asking for my name, postcode and contact telephone before I submit the appeal. I am not sure how to proceed.0

Name and postcode etc is ok ( they already have those details ) , not the telephone numberbaward said:Sorry, one step forward; the APCOA website is asking for my name, postcode and contact telephone before I submit the appeal. I am not sure how to proceed.
Use a spoof number if you have to , fruitcake has published one numerous times on here that redirects them to use email or similar3 -
Does anyone know what 'You must look up and confirm your address' which is the last hurdle on the APCOA website I have to leap? There is no clickable link that shows mw what they are on about. The appeal can't be submitted without this odd 'check'0

You have left your name showing. I don't understand the significance of your position or to what it relates, or the number after your name, unless you are appealing as a company, in which case the company name should be given. If appealing as registered keeper, the appeal should be in the name of the keeper exactly as it appears on the V5C.
The blanked out part would normally be a drop down box with an arrow at the right hand end.
Having entered a postcode, clicking on the drop-down arrow should bring up a list of addresses, then scroll down and click on the one you want. If that still doesn't work, then try omitting the space in the postcode.
I hope the 'phone number is not a real one.
If a 'phone number is mandatory then you could use 0333 8888888.
This gives the caller a recorded message telling them to only contact you by email. I have tried it and it works.
Alternatively, use this website that lists fake numbers exclusively reserved for use by film and TV companies. If possible, pick one with the same STD code as your address.

Thanks. The driver is a customer of the motoring charity, Motability, hence the name on the form. What should be submitted as the name, in that case? 'The Company Secretary B** W*** 044441' is what was sent to the driver on the Parking Charge Notice.Fruitcake said:You have left your name showing. No, the phone number is not the real one. 0333 8888888 will be used.
The drop-down issue seems to have been worked out, thanks.
If the PPC knows the name of The Driver, then The Driver's name goes in the relevant box. The PPC can only know the name of The Driver IF somebody has told them.
Motability cannot know who was driving unless they were present. The only thing they do know is the name and address of their client, but anyone could have been driving, including me, or any of the several million people in this country who are insured to drive a vehicle they do not own.
If the PPC does not know the name of The Driver, and a notice was sent by post to The Keeper, then the name of the day to day keeper, or the name of the registered keeper as it appears on the vehicle V5C goes in the box.
The PPC can only obtain the name of The Keeper from the DVLA.

Your most recent post makes it clear that you still don't get the importance of the difference between a driver and a keeper. This is especially important when the actual car park is not 'relevant land' as defined in POFA.
In several posts it has been stressed that the keeper should not identify the driver, yet here you are, once again, telling the world that the keeper was driving (yes I know I have repeated it too, but it seems to be the only way of getting the message across to you).
You even tell us in your latest post that the Parking Charge Notice was sent to the driver.
It wasn't.5 -
