I suspect it was not an "ombudsman" decision but a case handler decision which, unless appealed, will not go in front of an ombudsman and will therefore not be published.

You are absolutely right. It was just the case handlers' decision.
He's now agreed to ask the Sainsburys to provide me their calculation breakdown.to clarify the figures.
Should I ask for an "official Ombudsman" to be involved ?
