Amazon deliveries for previous occupants

I received a parcel this morning from Amazon addressed to someone who lived here some time ago. The driver had left by the time I realised. I just phoned Amazon and asked how I can return it. The guy told me that there is no process for returning packages unless they were ordered through an account that I can access, so I can keep it! An unexpected Christmas present?!
