Hi All, 
About to be new to the xbox life as just bought a series s for my son for xmas. Wanting to get a yearly gaming pass but was wondering if i can buy 4 3 month passes while they are reduced in price and use them throughout the year, instead of signing up for the monthy dd?

I have the game pass ultimate for my xbox series x it's £10.99 per month but I can cancel it any time I want a bit like Netflix. If you can get discounted passes for the system go for it, the only thing I can think of that will stop you using them throughout a year is if there is an expiry date on the passes.

Yes you can, you add the codes into your account and they just stack up, so buying four 3 month passes will give you a year's worth of Game Pass.

Amazon sometimes have discounts down to £21-23 for three months of Ultimate, other than that CD Keys is consistently cheaper than most other places. There are other sites that are even cheaper, but I am unsure how legitimate their keys actually are (eg. some may have been purchased with stolen card details etc.).

You can also get full price games at better prices on cdkeys.com. There are also some other similar sites. I recently bought Forza 5 ultimate edition of the MS store forgetting about cdkeys and could have saved myself £20!

Also if you're new to gamepass there's usually an introductory offer from microsoft for a month or 2 for a low price. When gamepass first started they had an offer to upgrade your remaning gold subscription to gamepass for £1 and I had a about a year left so got gamepass for about a year for £1.

Little tip for gamepass ultimate. First make sure you don't have an active gamepass ultimate account (I didn't explain this properly to someone and they ended up with it only giving them 4 months worth). Second buy Xbox live cards off cdkeys, up to two and a half years. Then buy a month's worth on gamepass ultimate and it will convert the whole thing into gamepass ultimate at a 1:1 ratio. I did it years back and thought they would have sorted it by now but they haven't. Just don't go over three years in total as that's the maximum.
