Mortgage and ccj

Hello, I need to buy my ex out of our property. I need to get a 23% LTV mortgage (currently there is no mortgage on the property) I have a ccj coming off my account in April. I’m keen to buy him out so he leaves asap, and I’m wondering how different my chances of getting a mortgage will be before and after April. So my question is, how much is an old settled ccj going to make to my application?
Debt was £15,903 😬 Now £2718.14 £0 😲🥳

You should have plenty of options, a 5 year old CCJ should not be a deal breaker.
You will be more likely to pass a credit check after April but I think you should be fine now.

Please use a  mortgage broker to help you
1 find the right deal and lender for your circumstances.
    2 Ignore the Old CCJ
3 Help you with the application and check your credit file/score

Thank you, yes I will, I’m just trying to tidy up my finances a bit first, it’s all a bit daunting at the moment, I’ve never done the mortgage thing before 😬

  • It is very possible.

We remortgaged 6 months ago and at the time I had a 5.5 year old satisfied CCJ on my credit file.

We got a mortgage with a mainstream lender (Halifax) and the mortgage was approved in super quick time, 3 days from application to having the mortgage offer.
