Mortgage, secured loan, car loan - claim money back?

Not sure if I've posted this in the right place.
My partner met a man in the local Costco who was advertising services to claim money back from previous mortgages, secured or car loans. Basically you send the details in (however basic, going back as long as you want) and they come back to quickly to give you a decision as to whether they will pursue it on your behalf. Once you have a decision you may £495 per claim, which they refund if they don't win. The following link describes it at a high level

I haven't pursued this yet, mainly due to time, but I'm a bit wary of paying £495 up front, presumably there would be some sort of contract to sign. Has anyone come across before. When I questioned the guy on the phone he wouldn't tell me which loophole they were looking to exploit and he seemed to suggest that the company had identified something that no one else knew about - I'm quite sceptical usually, so any views appreciated.

Ignore it. Any eligible claims can be made by individuals, you do not need to pay £495 for someone else to do it!Gone ... or have I?0
