Hi
Can someone tell me how I deal with leave when it has been put into hours?
My leave is 172 hours and on HRC I have now got -31. Its a complete mystery to anyone I ask.

It's probably pro rata.
So if full-time you had 20 days leave at 7 hours a day (140 hours) and went to half-time, you'd see 70 hours for the same leave allowance. That's how I've seen it done in the private sector, public *might* add some complications...0 -
-31 suggests you have taken about 4 days more leave than your current entitlement. To calculate how many days 172 hours equates to simply divide this number by the hours you work per day.

your hours are pro-rated. if you work a normal day that is 7.4 hours. when you are given your holiday hours you can divide by this to get the number of days1

got someone to explain. I in fact am owed 6 days. As you work it out from your contracted daily hours, and as I work on a Monday but my contract says that I don't work. Its the nature of my job, that I can work what days I like.
