Hoist Finance Pay Us!

Hoist Finance have been paying £10 into my wife’s bank account monthly for a few months. We have no idea why or what debt this might be for. She is anxious about calling them in case they want it back. Any ideas why and if we should reach out.

Nice.
I wouldn't contact them.1 -
Set it aside, don't spend it in case they DO want it back. (And put it somewhere it's earning at least some interest). Then I agree with fatbelly above - just sit quietly and see what they do, and whether they get in contact with her.
The imp in me suggests that if they DO want it back, tell them that it will be sent at the rate of £10 per month for as long as it takes....
