Beko DEN59420DX dishwasher - can't buy liquid in supermarkets

To cut a long story short... I managed to buy a dishwasher that seems to only accept liquid.
It's a Beko DEN59420DX.
I checked my two local supermarkets over the weekend and neither of them seem to sell liquid or the gel solution for dishwashers.
I can buy liquid or gel from a well known online retailer but it seems strange I can't get it in the supermarket.
Can I just use tablets in the machine? The instructions say yes but there isn't a place to put the tablet on my model it seems.
Thanks in advance.

Can you say what model it is? Someone might have experience of the particular model you have....0

Good point.
It's a Beko DEN59420DX.

According to one review "Thankfully, this Beko also takes tablets, placed unusually in a tray-slot in the top basket."

Hi, yes my unit didn't come with one it seems.
Also I have been unable to find one on any of the spares sites.
As I bought it used I'll have to come up with another solution.
Due diligence failure on this occasion it seems!

Just lob the tablet / pouch in.

Does that work ok?
I read the machine does a rinse first that washes away the tablet before it's needed in the cycle.

If you can get it online then why not just to that, it's probably cheaper than than the supermarkets anyway.RemotecUK said:To cut a long story short... I managed to buy a dishwasher that seems to only accept liquid.

I imagine the reason why the main supermarkets don't stock it is because auto dosing machines are fairly niche still so not much point supermarkets taking up valuable shelf space with large packs of liquids where they won't sell that many. With all the transport difficulties around the supermarkets want to limit the amount of stuff they can stock and sell.0 -
Could be yes. I thought dishwasher liquid was always available for some reason.
At present tablets are cheaper per wash than liquid.0 -
You can buy it in Sainsbury's and Waitrose!0
