Question about removers' packing service

  • Good packers are worth their weight in gold.  They know what they are doing and can do it quickly and efficiently. Last time we moved the packers brought giant padded covers for the tv and some of the furniture.

A point to note.  If you pack your own glass, china, mirrors or anything else fragile/breakable read the contract carefully as if there are any breakages the removal firm may not be liable if they did not do the packing.

We have had 9 moves in 20 years and the only thing that broke was a small glass dish that cost me £2 in a charity shop.   :D
Hhm intersting, the only time I've used packers it was a disaster. This was at my summer job whe I was still in school and I was moving the company library (it's a long time ago lol). Packed quickly & efficiently but sadly with total disregard to the ordering of books took forever to unpack!

But the main reason I prefer not having them is the decluttering: I just fear, no know, that it won't happen if somebody else packs and then we'll have to do it when unpacking!
