Remortgage/Moving House with Bad Credit

My partner and I are looking to move house next year so I’m assuming we’ll need to remortgage or something? (Not quite sure on that) however my main worry is that my credit score is poor - I have 2 defaults and several missed payments due to being on a debt management plan - ive never actually missed a payment, but because I’ve made lower payments than in my contract with creditors, they count it as missed or defaulted 
my partners credit is excellent - he’s pretty much on 999 - mines 163 at the moment but goes up and down all the time with being on this DMP.

Assuming you have a sort of 15-20% deposit for the new place you should be fine.
But I dont think you will be getting a normal rate mortgage. The score is not important, it is what is on your credit report that is.
