Charge on property - no account number (Endeavour Personal Finance / HSBC)

I am currently selling a property which I own my ex-husband and the title deeds have shown up a second charge on the property for HSBC. Following some digging I have been told the original charge was placed by Endeavour Personal Finance in 2007 (Endeavour went bust several years ago and HSBC took on their loans according to Google) . I am hoping someone can advise me on how I can find an account number or how I can find anything else about this charge?
My divorce was 7 years ago and it took a long time so sort out finances as my ex was very irresponsible, borrowed loads of money without me knowing, and I was also very young and naïve (no excuse but I am much better with money now and will never make the same mistakes again). I spent a long time paying his debts off after the marriage ended as it was easier than trying to get him to pay up. We did not sell our property as it was in negative equity and had a tenant in it. The tenant recently decided to buy her own place and as the property is slightly in equity it made sense for me to sell and finally cut all ties with my ex.
I was surprised when the charge came back as I was rigorous in going through credit files etc during the divorce to make sure I had paid everything (again naively I did not think to check property titles). My ex is denying all knowledge of the loan (which was less of a surprise). There was no reference to this charge on my credit file at the time of my divorce and I have received no correspondence about this loan that I can every recall, at any address including the property that the charge is on (my tenant has always saved any post received for me).
I want to pay whatever is outstanding on this loan, sell the property and move on with my life. My solicitor has been faxing HSBC but has had no response. I have spent several hours on the phone to them but without an account number they can't help (they have tried but we go around in circles). I have also sent them a Subject Access Request but so far no response.
Does anyone have any other ideas on how I get can get HSBC to help? I am offering to pay any outstanding money so it is really frustrating that I am not getting anywhere!
If this goes on much longer there is a risk that my buyer could pull out of the sale.
Thank you.

The SAR should produce the result you need, so wait for that. If it doesn't, it means the charge is in your ex's name, so he will need to deal with it.
But for heavens sake, tell your solicitor to stop sending faxes!1 -

Not totally secure as someone at the other end could take it and then the legitimate recipient believes they didn't get it, but pretty much yes. Still outdated though and there are equally secure electronic versions
