Barclays Mortgage - Turnaround Times?

Hello all.  I'm getting pretty anxious here as Barclays seem to be going at a snails pace with our application.  We submitted 2 1/2 weeks ago and valuation was done last Friday.  The surveyor said he'd send the report the same day.   I know we've had the weekend but now end of Wednesday and still nothing back from Barclays.

Does anybody know if this is normal for them to be this slow?  Nail biting now!

Barclays have sent all my mortgage offers by post, so I’d expect a week from valuer’s report.   I think my last one was 9 days from submitting to receiving offer. That offer then needed a small amendment, and the revised offer was about three days later. 

Have you got access to track it online?

Hey, thank you for your reply!  No, unfortunately, I don't have access to track it online as it was done via a broker.   The broker simply tells me that Barclays are not the quickest to respond and that they are chasing daily but it's not very reassuring.  
Still nothing today....

In my experience Barclays are dreadful at the moment and generally hit and miss at the best of times. So what you are experiencing is normal at the moment i'm afraid.

The only thing your broker can do to chase is by uploading a document to the case and by speaking to someone in India via Livechat.

Some brokers on here refuse to deal with barclays, it's that bad

From submitting application to mortgage offer took 3 weeks for me. Offer received this Thursday after valuation last Tuesday (we applied directly)
