For those thinking of seeing a show in the West End early in the new year - this offer is worth looking at!
Take a look at Get into London Theatre
"Booking now open for performances from 3 Jan to 8 Feb 2008.

Worth checking on the Theatre Monkey website to check what are good or bad seats - http://www.theatremonkey.com

Thank you so much for this. I went onto the website late last night to look for Lord of the Rings tickets. I have wanted to see this show for months but could bring myself to pay the ridiculous prices they were charging (plus booking fees, postage etc) especially without being able to choose the exact seats I wanted. After rejecting several offers of seats which were either at the end of the row or too far back (www.theatremonkey.com very useful here) I bought 3 seats for a Friday evening performance which are right in the middle of Row D! Could not have asked for better. And how much did I pay? Total of £75. No booking fee, no postage - and they are going to post them to me - I thought I would probably have to collect on the night!
Once again, many thanks! :beer:0 -
It doesn't tell me what seat I am in when I try to book. It just says "top price seat". That could be anything?!
ok, now if I select another date, it gives me a seat option. It says the best available is:
Stall
Apollo Victoria
Row ZA
seat 43 - 44
But that is miles back!
I will keep searching.

Thanks for this but we're going to London (on the Virgin £1 tickets) on 13th Feb and paying for our hotel with Tesco Clubcard Deals - do you know if the theatre deal is likely to be extended so we can make it a real MSE trip to London?!0

Be VERY careful when you book your tickets & select your seats as I have just made a huge mistake.
When you select best seats, sometimes it will list the stalls first and sometimes it will list the circle first. The first time I went to the link, I clicked on the stalls.
Then when I went to book, I clicked on the same link but I only noticed on the confirmation that I am in the circle at the back.
Argh, £35 for a ticket to Wicked at the back!
So just read the text carefully.0 -

if you want to leave it late use the tkts booth in leicester square (the one on the square, not the shops nearby that claim they are offical). Looks like a public loo, has 4 windows and big queues.
http://www.officiallondontheatre.co.uk/tkts has pictures and a map, and whats on (although it's only for the day but you'll get an idea of prices)
You can only book for the same day (they do have afternoon and evening ticket though) and the tickets are usually half price plus a £2.5 charge per ticket. They also usually are good seats, we has some for the 39 steps (excelent comedy if you want to know!) and they were front row, and £20 each I think with the fee.0 -
Great - thanks for putting that on the weekly email! Just booked 4 tickets to see Wicked for only £140 - been wanting to see that one for ages!:D0

I had an email from lastminute.com a couple of months ago with link to a similar offer and managed to get 'best seats' - the £70 ones - for half price for Spamalot next week - so it is worth subscribing to these newsletters.0
