Slow payment can be indication of financial duress of the business. Other creditors being given precedence when allocating the available cash held.Soundgirlrocks said:So I mentioned it to my boss and he admitted that he forgets to do it every month and he needs to hand it over to HQ for them to process. Hopefully, now he knows I've noticed he will be a bit more organised! It's good to know there is legislation but in the grand scheme of things I don't think it's worth causing a fuss if he sorts his act out, fingers crossed but I'll be keeping an eye on it!0 -
Yep given the industry we are in it crossed my mind. Covid has been truly awful, but I know the parent company is actually having the best year ever globally and we are back on track so I'm not concerned it is that. My boss is just disorganised!Thrugelmir said:

It certainly can - but just as often it's nothing more alarming than sheer incompetence. OP, you might check your online tax account to ensure tax and NI are being paid on time! https://www.gov.uk/personal-tax-accountThrugelmir said:

You can't actually tell if your tax & NI is being paid or not.
But that really doesn't matter, what does is that your employer is reporting your pay details via the Real Time Information system.
If your Personal Tax Account shows your pay is being reported then that's all you need to worry about.0
