Jury service cancelled and out of pocket!

Hi,
I'm self employed and cancelled all my work to attend for at least two weeks for jury service, sadly the dates fell on the mid to end of month where I make the most of my money from bonuses from dropped or urgent work. So I'm 70% down for November! Jury service was cancelled on the Friday before the Monday starting date!
Anyone had experience of this and any luck with compensation?

Sorry to hear this, jury service is a load of rubbish when it comes to this, you need a legit reason to be excused!1
