6 weeks till statute barred status

Says start date August 2015, no payments made at all, first would have been due after say 30 days, so its likely to have become statute barred in August this year, makes no odds if the debt was sold or not, means nothing in terms of the limitation act.
I`d go with the statute barred defence here, however you could stall them with a "provit" letter, by the time they get around to answering that, it`ll be well into January.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. Do you mean if it went as far as county court then use statute barred as my defence? I really could do with getting original Doc's from them without admitting anything just to make sure0

Thanks so much for your advice. I will get that printed and sent off.0

Apologies. Do you have a link for a prove it letter? I can't seem to find it.0

Sending a prove-it doesn't reset anything
Responding to a pre-action letter the way we would tell you, doesn't reset anything.
And the courts will use that default date, following Doyle v PRA Group, assuming you haven't acknowledged the debt since.1 -
Thank you so much for yours guys help. I will follow the advice given to a t. I just need to find the template. I have seen one but from 2014. If that's still current then I'll utilise that.0
