Morning all,
My 9 year old ds has handed me a letter from school stating he is to make a christmas table decoration for the school party on Tuesday.
Problem is my mind has gone blank and i dont even have any ideas of where to start or what i'll need.
Im thinking along the lines of blue peter things like cotton wool and toilet roll inners but being the ultra competitive mother i am i want something a little different and of course we (ok i ) want him to win.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

How about getting a log and decorating with cotton wool snow and making some Robins to go on it etc:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0

I always used to win those!
One year we made a fire place, complete with cat, rug etc. It was pretty easy to make, we just used pieces of card from cereal boxes etc and the cat was plastercine. We used tissue paper for the fire and a scrap of fabric for the rug. We made a small Christmas tree, although I'm not sure how... I think perhaps it was with green tissue paper-it was nearly 20 years ago now so cannot remember all of the detail!

The Small Penguins made a great one from Blue Peter a couple of years ago.
Terra cotta plant pot, big candle sat on oasis inside it. Arrange greenery into the oasis, and also small oranges and apples on wires. We also have cones (some sprayed gold and silver) on wires, too. Tie a big ribbon around the pot. Simple and really effective.
Heavenleigh - please calm down and remember this is for your child, not for your competitive edge  I almost didn't post, as I remember the nursery rhyme outfit thread.............
