New NHS physiotherapy admin job. Should I take an AMSPAR course, and if so where to begin?

I'm due to start a new position as a clinical officer for the NHS. My role will involve creating/amending appointments & admin. Should I take an AMSPAR City & Guilds course, and where should I begin?

I'd have thought if the role required that, it would have been in the person spec. Otherwise, if it's a substantive, permanent post, the Trust you're joining might fund it. If I were you I'd give it a couple of weeks to find your feet then ask your supervisor if there's any additional training you can do. Depending on what they say, you can then decide how to go forward.

Well done on getting the job. Good luck.
