Hi.
Looking at buying a property through the Homebuy Wales Scheme. Where you buy 70% of the property and the housing association owns 30%. You don’t pay rent on the remainder but do pay it back when you come to sell.
I just called Barclays to see if they do it and they said no. They had never heard of it. Does anyone have any idea who participate in this scheme?
Thank you.

That sounds like confusion between shared ownership and shared equity.
Establish exactly how it works, who administers it and post back.
Have a look at HTB Wales which is shared equity but this applies to FTB/Newbuild only.I am a mortgage broker.
