I want to refresh with a new modern template to write over, but wondered if anyone had any advice of where to go to buy them?

You want to spend money on something that is freely available all over the Internet,  and something many companies no longer accept? Perhaps rethinking the question might be more useful?

Register on canva.com for a free account, they have plenty of nice CV templates. However, I don't think it's necessary and in the last month when I was recruiting, people with CV templates didn't get any preferential treatment. And with 10 applicants having the same looking CV, it got old very quickly.

Its worth looking at templates more to get ideas as there are many ways to structure a CV. The problem is many hiring managers have their own preferences too and so its always a bit of a roll of the dice if you pick something they love or hate... but that is more likely to be on the structure than the actual colour scheme or bullet point markers etc.
