then they should of bought it when it was advertised , it does say in the small print that this offer can be withdrawn at anytime

They advertised it with a fanfare said,in the small print, that the offer would expire on Dec 17th and withdrew it after a day or so. They did say it might be withdrawn earlier and you would have seen that if you had your extra strong glasses on. I had a try for the reduced rate on the Saturday morning and you could fill in all the detail and go to check out before you found out they had withdrawn the offer. How hard would it be to make that clear? Answer: Not very. They just didn't want to.
What now happens is whether Trainline are right or wrong you have a lot of disgruntled passengers who won't go back.
