Top Saving on Apple iphone 12

Looking at the top iphone 12 deals on MSE, the best deal is with O2 via uSwitch, which is a new iphone 12, 64GB phone with free calls/texts and 100GB data all for £30 per month for 24 months giving total of £720 over the 24 month period.
The exact same phone with the exact same bundle of free calls/texts 100GB data through O2 themselves is £20 upfront and £36.55 per month for 24 months, giving total cost of £897.20 over the 24 month period.
How can the same phone with the same bundle (calls, texts, data), with the same provider (O2) have such a price difference. i.e. £720 compared to £897.20 ?
Have I missed something?
Is the lower price a scam? Even although it I found it through MSE and uSwitch?
Is the higher price just a rip off?
What have I missed, or am I just being paranoid, and should go for the £720 deal?
Thanks
