Putting partners name on house deeds-least expensive option.

Hi folks,
I would like to put my partners name on house deeds, and have looked at the form from the land registry, as I was thinking of doing it myself.
It does seem to have a bit of legal jargon, but I'm sure that a solicitor could probably fill it all in in 10-15 mins at most.
I would like to get this done, but probably don't want to be out hundreds of pounds doing so, have you done this yourself or got someone to do it for you, that hasn't cost you a fortune?
Advice appreciated if you have any.
Many thanks.

Have you considered how such as Tenants in common vs joint tenants, etc etc.
I've got to do the same thing, personally I intend to use my solicitors so its all watertight. For what its worth we also need to do our wills, which my local firm also does, so I'm hoping to negotiate a better price for everything

If it is, you'd need the agreement of the mortgage company, which may not be forthcoming unless the person is also put on the mortgage.....
