Zinc group settlement

Hi everyone,
I've recently agreed settlement amounts with my debtors. Most have accepted my offer of 30% as a final settlement however Zinc Group are a notable holdout. They are my second biggest debt (around £1500). The original debt was with EE and Zinc have said they can only offer 25% off as a maximum. They don't own the debt they are simply acting on behalf of EE.
My question is would it be better to wait for EE to fully sell the debt off before making an arrangement with whoever they sell the debt to, or should I just swallow it and settle for 75%. Zinc have said there is 0% chance of them moving any further so its either pay up or wait for it to be transferred.
Thanks for your help

When a debt is sold, the company that buys it usually does so for pennies in the pound, which is why they can afford to give bigger discounts for a quick settlement.
As you say, Zink are only acting on behalf of EE, so will not have much discretion in that area, its your choice, it could take a while for them to sell the debt, depends what your timescale is.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards.
