RICS Valuation - Help to Buy - NW & Manchester

Hello

5 Year Help to Buy initial term is coming to an end. Currently with Santander for main mortgage and looking to borrow more to clear the help to buy balance. 

Could anyone recommend a good company to go with to provide a property valuation that is RICS accredited in the NW/Manchester area? 

At a glance there appears to be quite a range of prices quoted so wondering if anyone has any recent experience.

How close to Manchester? I used one nearer to Stoke a couple of months back…

Is it part of a chain? 

To answer your question 5 Miles Northwest of Manchester. Anything probably that covers; there, Bolton, Warrington.

Ok, no good, then. It is a local one and not a chain. I just looked up some list of RICS surveyors and tried to see which had non-suspect reviews. Was maybe expensive at £300 for a level 2 one for help to buy.

I've just started looking at remortgaging and borrowing more to pay off my help to buy equity loan too. Do you need the surveyor to be local? I got a recommendation from my mortgage advisor a few days ago, as well as comparing that to another firm in my area and the one provided by my mortgage advisor was better so I'm thinking of going with them. i would wait until around march when prices of houses fall

It doesn’t need to be a local surveyor, but the surveyor will come to your house and take photos both inside and out. This means due to transportation they’ll probably be local.

Ended up going with Aspire - based in Manchester. Brendan was the name of the go to person. He came to the house promptly, paperwork was fast and the price was fantastic compared to the initial quotes I had from other companies.
