  • As in landscape on the side roof?

There is room for two rows but not three. So a maximum of 9 or 10 panels on that roof rather than 12.

Keeping landscape but 2 rows across and 3 down, which would give one more panel than shown at the moment. Or even 2 rows of 4 down which still gives a bigger gap that the 5 shown.
Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.

That is the front roof not the side. Sorry my fault should have made that clearer.  It is a semi detached so unfortunately, two rows across in landscape would go over on to my neighbours roof.

Sorry, my apologies, looking now it's clear which is side/front from the cars but that makes sense if you can only use one side of the roof - shame as that section would have been perfect!

Yes. I wonder if my neighbors would notice if I used their roof!

I have ordered the bigger panels. The system is getting fired tomorrow. Fingers crossed. I'll post an update.

@2nd_time_buyer who was your installer? Would you recommend them?
I've got a colleague in Andover who's expressed an interest in solar PV (I've been suggesting it to him for at least a decade, I'm surprised I haven't put him off!) and was hoping I could point him to someone for a quote.
You can reply by PM if it's easier for you :)
    Edit to add:
If there's anyone else in Hampshire or adjoining counties who can give me a recommendation, that will also be welcome! The installer who did my FIT system a decade ago went bust not long after (when the FIT rates were cut and installs fell off a cliff) and I don't want to inflict Light Renewables on him.

Not exactly back from my break, but dipping in and out of the forum.

@QrizB We used Eco-renewables - however I am not so sure their prices are as competitive as they were.

I have some friends who have used Infinity Energy in Bursledon. They are a little expensive but they are very professional and get very good reviews. The quotation and was by far the most detailed I have seen, with 3D site modelling and accurate energy estimations - so would be good for the "amateur" customer.

My parents have recently had an installation with Barry Frampton in Lymington. They did an excellent job at a competitive price. Not very much detail in the quote but the essentials were there.

P.S. sorry for the slow reply.
