Electricity price rise

Electricity price rise is imminent and probably will be high. Bound to impact electric car running costs. Why don’t electric cars have a solar panel on the roof? Do they have dynamic braking?

I read that basically the size of the solar panels you can fit on a car isn't enough to charge them very quickly - as in 4 days of equator level sun.

So round here in winter you'd be lucky to charge it in a week or two.

Aside from that, I don't drive at all and the amount of 'once in a lifetime' economic anomolies I've experienced has got me spinning round while repeating 'same as it ever was'. Everything has gone up aside from wages? What a surprise.

Petrol and diesel prices seem to be rising fairly quickly as well. Petrol was briefly only £1/litre in March 2020. Fifty percent rise in 18 months.

The weight of them would not justify the small amount of electricity generated

They’re only claiming it as a range enhancer in the ad above. Presumably for sunny days only.

    All EVs have regenerative braking.

Thank you! That’s the big word I couldn’t think of! 😄
