As someone who's parked all over london, and once parked outside a hospital with confusing road parking markings of where residents ended and metered started (thank you sydney street Kensington) where 5 mins later my car had been towed, and another was there with a sign saying "authorised for towing" (clearly was an easy target). I can say its easy to get worried and confused.jones_guitar said:Glad you enjoyed the thread. People didn't believe me when I said I lost my van, it was in a car park I wouldn't have expected it to be.
That said - no one I dont think was disbelieving you, just confused as you referred to both a car and a van earlier.Peter

If you parked it in a car park to do work a a specific address, then you must have known approximately how far it took you to walk to the address. Drawing a circle on a map, even at say a half mile radius, would not throw up that many off-street car parks to choose from.
There are a number of 'find my car' apps, it might be a good idea to install one.No free lunch, and no free laptop

I did that, that was what the surprising thing. Also, the car park does not come up on google maps, yet I googled it via Sat Nav. It wasn't even in my history. Also, incase people misread my post, the van has a tracker, and they never replied to my emails (they have no phone number). Even to this day, I have had no response.macman said:If you parked it in a car park to do work a a specific address, then you must have known approximately how far it took you to walk to the address. I once spent 5 minutes trying to get into a car to no avail. I then realised it wasn't my car. I'd parked next to it (they were identical make and colour cars in my defence).Have driven in central London wouldn't choose to again willingly.May you find your sister soon Helli.
