Morning folks and thanks for the start off Scarlett.

The appointment went well yesterday as nurse super-efficient was on so we were back home within an hour and we'd called in the meat van on the way home. We had notification yesterday too that Open Re*ch were on standby to change us over to the new cabinet but they had to get the Ok from our provider. One and a half hours later on the phone and finally we managed to find the correct person to sort it out. Hopefully it will go ahead tomorrow so I may be offline.

Today I shall do some cleaning/hoovering and do the freezer shuffle that I promised to do. I need to find the leftover chicken while I'm in the freezer to make a chicken and noodle dish for tea. We forgot to use up the mushrooms yesterday, so they will go in with the noodles too. I need to ring the surgery today for a face to face appointment with my GP, they couldn't do it last time as the appointment "book" hadn't gone into Dec yet 🤨

TA hope the vet's appointment goes well. I have a spare half a crown you can have 😁 Re the phone, we have a BT phone with Call Guardian on, it's been a godsend as we have no unwanted phone calls. Maybe another option for you ?

Morning all, hasn't stopped raining since I got up at 7 Never mind, on the positive it means I'm not tempted to go out and can continue with my big 'prepare for visitors on X Day' clean and sort out. I've ordered 2 rugs but got an email to say1 was out of stock so I've chosen another. 1 will be here shortly but I won't put it down yet, save them for nearer the festive season! Even when I use the carpet washer it doesn't take long before they get a bit whiffy from one very large dog sleeping on them

We had everyone for tea last night so I made a large shepherds pie, clean plates all round apart from DGS who is very picky. Then they had to get home so DS could participate in a Zoom parents evening with DGS Mum and the class teacher. He's doing very well apparently. DGD also brought a letter home from school to say she's been picked for a football tournament so she was very happy too.

Happy Home Day Nelski, you must be very relieved , glad you are doing well

Afternoon All

Ran out of time to post early this morning before going swimming. I was so tired I nearly didn't go as I fell asleep on the sofa last night so couldn't get to sleep when I went to bed!

It's damp out but not actually raining so far today, washing on the pulley and the recycle bins are out - my lovely neighbour usually brings them up to the side gate for me, he used to bring them right into the back but he can't reach the bolt on the gate now!

So pleased to hear you're on your way home Nelski, thanks for keeping us up to date Ruby - great you've been back to your cafe.

Poor Sparkle, will it never end?

Haircut tonight (thank goodness) then I'm meeting up with a close friend for dinner, quite looking forward to it.
