Beware the "interest free" credit. I suspect that is dependent on paying through the nose for your energy from Eon.

Funnily enough my new gaff is on Eon, so I've resigned myself to being on their SVT for a while. I hadn't thought of getting a solar quote from them. Perhaps I should?

I have got quote 3 coming today who slightly beats eon on price, but currently eon is my preferred just for the warrenty and fact that they are known, plus get extra seg if they install1 -
I was interested to see that Eon offer Viridian in-roof systems, although not at the relative prices they quote!Got a phone call back from Eon, this morning, but they can't quote until I've completed the purchase.1

Pay us £10k for a panel or two then we will make a quote that matches......?

Just to update. We have gone with eon. 6.12kw panels, 6kw invertor. This will have to be limited to 5.8 back to grid, as DNO said that's the max. Cant see that being much of an issue as unlikely to generate the max very often, let alone with the background use we have.
Contact from eon so far has been very good, regular phone calls to advise of stage install is at, and next steps.
Thankyou everyone for your input, your comments allowed me to continue when I was so close to giving up.5 -
Unusual to have the inverter power so close to the panel power, doesn't that make it less efficient. Anyway let us know how it goes.8kw system spread over 6 roofs , surrounded by trees and in a valley.1

I would have considered EON but they wouldnt offer me more than a paltry 3.3kw (11*330w panels)4.29kWp Solar system, 45/55 South/West split in cloudy rainy Cumbria.0
