Facebook Competitions

As those who enter Facebook competitions know the criteria is to like the page, follow the page, like the post, comment, tag friends and put the answer to the question in the comments box. Not all of the competitions on Facebook require all of the above but some do.
I am constantly being picked up and blocked from entering because my comments apparently go against Community Guidelines. Comments like the answer C. 21%, Lovely Prize etc. I do not use the same comments everytime.
Facebook are stopping me entering these competitions as they do not allow my comments to be posted. I've appealed and nothing happens.
What can I do?
Regards

It isn't just you, they are doing it to a lot of people. I know many people who have had the same, me included. It's because everyone is giving the same answer, so the FB algorithm is picking it up as spam. I entered one on instagram and got my account deleted, as it was seen as suspicious activity. I now don't enter any competition on FB or instagram which requires everyone to put the same answer! Its not worth losing my accounts for.2

Unfortunately this is happening a lot on Facebook and Instagram, the owners of both companies (newly named Meta) have changed something, I believe their automatic system are picking up on so much right now, but what frustrates me is the actual scammers and scammer accounts aren't having comments removed or accounts blocked, yet those of us that are genuine seem to be!
All you can do is appeal I'm afraid. I appealed on a private post, on my own wall which was removed for spam, it looks like it was reinstated, but I wasn't notified to say it had been.
Let's hope they do something about this soon as it is very frustrating.Thank you to everyone who posts competitions and good luck to everyone who enters.1 -
Thank you Ms_Dee.
Yes you are right that the scammers are getting full access. I have reported several and I am told they are "not" going against Community Guidelines even though they are in a different country thousands of miles away telling me I have won a UK only competition which hasn't even ended yet and wanting me to register and pay for the priviledge.
Is there anyway to actually put my side across to Facebook? I have clicked the "appeal" tab when notified that my comment is causing problems but there is no where to explain the full circumstances. Also you cannot report a scammer for pretending to be a genuine company.0 -
I've just had another comment removed for breaching guidelines. Was it naughty, copied, somehow inflammatory? The comment was: I will share with my husband - maybe. (To win a bottle of wine) Facebook really has lost the plot!
And yet, when somebody cloned my husband's account recently, sent friend requests to all of his friends and then started sending them messages asking for cash, that wasn't against their guidelines. It's utterly and completely mad!!0 -
