Anyone know how to stop being sent emails for new comments posted on threads I have commented on?

Have you checked your Notification Preferences?

Go to your Profile / https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/profile
Click the red icon with the person and arrow to Edit Profile / https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/profile/edit/
Select Notification Preferences down the left hand side / https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/profile/preferences/

Thanks Petal. That is really helpful, I can see where to untick for that - unless, there is a way to deselect emails just for just the individual threads I want to stop being emailed about? I would prefer that, so that I could choose which ones to be messaged about, and which ones not to. But otherwise, I will do as you suggest.

Hi Blulu 

You can unsubscribe from a specific thread by clicking this icon to the right of the thread title:



If the icon is all red, you have the thread bookmarked. If it looks like the picture above, it is not bookmarked.

Thanks for your reply James. It's actually about threads that I have already unbookmarked though, and for threads that I've commented on. There doesn't seem to be a way to stop emails from those threads, other than, as Ms Dee said, changing my general notifications, so that I never get emails from threads I've commented on.

However, an idea just popped into my head, in response to what you posted. In theory, it should work in reverse. So I will change my notifications to not getting emails from threads I have commented on, and then I will bookmark the ones that I do want notifications from.

I will try that and see if it works.
