Matched betting and remortgaging

Hi,
My husband is thinking of doing matched betting. We have a mortgage fixed but will soon be looking for a new deal with the same lender. If he does it  will matched betting affect this? If he set it up through a different account could we just not show the matched betting account? What have your experiences been of matched betting?

I had loads of betting transactions on my statements, some for hundreds of pounds, Barclays didnt bat an eyelid.

I had done match-betting for 2 years before our first mortgage. Advisor did not make a mention of it at all. I suspect if it showed you were in financial difficulties because of it then that would be a different story but as long you do match-betting right, you'll have some nice profit.

However, I would strongly advise your husband to set up a separate bank account/bank purely for match-betting only, it will make it a lot easier to track transactions because if you are going to commit to it, you'll be looking at 50 different companies as part of it. I would also create a spreadsheet tracking all of the bets, profit and accounts set up.

P.S, use incongnito mode when placing bets/visiting websites.. bookies do not like match-betters and will ban or restrict you.

What site do you use to keep track of the latest betting offers?

Matchedbettingblog is the best free one I use (or used to use before all my accounts got gubbed).

OddsMonkey and Profit Accumulator I’ve seen recommended in the past, these are probably slightly better but you have to pay a monthly fee. From memory OddsMonkey used to do a free trial or similar.

The matched betting sub forum has been retired. matched betting is not allowed to be discussed here so I will close this thread now.
