Thanks all for the feedback very useful.

The role is homebased - as is my role now. I said at the interview that I also have to be occasionally in the office in my current role and that to me meant 1 batch of 3 days per month. I did initially turned the role down as I said it was not practical for me to be in the office daily so they offered me a home based role with occasionally in the office.
Any travelling to the office is fully paid.

I think, on that basis, you could always seek "clarification" if the employer requests you to do more in the office than you reasonably assessed against the conversations at the interview.  It does sound like there'll be a fair bit of give and take so you might be in the office Mon - Wed - Fri one week (to suit meetings) and then have a period of WFH.  On those occasions when you'll need to be in the office, will there be flexibility on arrival / departure times?

With my current client "home workers" are anticipated to come into the office up to once a week, hybrid three times a week and office based five days a week. In practice at the moment most are coming in as little as possible and getting away with it... our team has been marked as hybrid but all but two are only coming in once a week at the moment. Our boss, unfortunately the CPO, however is strongly in favour of office based interactions so doubt it will last too long.

Ultimately, given how important it is to you the time to check was when you were negotiating otherwise both parties may go away with a very different expectation and ultimately it will be yours that has to move.
