Because studying was so boring and the societies were my hobbies and interests. My parents used to say I had the wrong attitude because I was more concerned about the city I went to university in than the course I studied.
I don't think it's a case of hating doing what I'm told as I more or less got into IT because I was told to. I just find it so incredibly boring.0 -
Erm, yeah - I'd consider seeking out an ADHD screening. I'm not saying that's definitely what's going on here, other explanations are possible, but what you're saying is ringing all kinds of bells for me.funnyvideo said:Because studying was so boring and the societies were my hobbies and interests. you will have lot of transferable skills and competence.
Can start looking for another role that you find more interesting and engaging.
Looks like you like to interact and work with others.
Software IT work is a lot of working alone and some will find boring and not as interesting.
Paid work is not always fun and engaging depending on the field you are in.
You might have a pay drop with a new role.
What about having hobbies and interests outside work or check internally for other more suitable roles.
Doing the same role, every day, same environment etc can feel boring and quite common.
