Scottish DAS - IVA on Credit File

Hi there,
I have been in a DAS for 3 years now and paying my debt pile off slowly but surely - 4 years this month until it’s done
. For the last 3 years I’ve not touched credit (not that I’ve been able to anyway…) however I decided to download the ClearScore app just to see how my file was getting on.
I have been in a DAS for 3 years now and paying my debt pile off slowly but surely - 4 years this month until it’s done

Couple of questions here -
1. It says that I have an IVA on my record. I always thought an IVA, while similar to a DAS, was categorised completely different. My belief was that I’m not insolvent just have an arrangement to pay my debts in full so just wondering if this is incorrectly labeled on my file and should I query it with Equifax? Strangely enough Experian are not reporting that I have an IVA, just the accounts marked with the code showing an arrangement with creditors.
2. I have 9 creditors. 4 of them have defaulted the accounts from the date of the DAS approval. Others, namely Bank of Scotland who hold 3 of the remaining 5, have chosen not to default the accounts. Rather they have been reporting for the last 36 months that I’m -6 payments. Would this not be beneficial to ask for them to default the account? Would they back-date the default so it falls off my file quicker?

Can see the light at the end of the tunnel and just don’t want it to affect me anymore than it needs to 😬
Thanks very much

A Scottish DAS is similar to a DMP in the rest of the UK, except that the Scottish version is regulated, and gives you and your creditors legal protection, there is no credit reference agency mark for a DAS, so the next best thing is an IVA marker.
DMP`s are due to be regulated in the rest of the UK at some point in the future, so a new CRA marker may then be used, but until then they use what they have basically.
When your DAS completes, that is the time to do a "credit file clean up" check out debt camel for more info on that.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards.
