they haven't recieved proposals or letter of authority from CCCS yet, I ring CCCS to tell them and they say they have sent them all letters 2mths ago but will send again. I'm sick of phone calls and feel creditors are taking the mickey so to speak. Has anyone else had this problem?

from what i have read on here, it seems that creditors often do this sort of harassment in the hope that you will pay something the THEM extra to the DMP payment. Of course this is a no no as far as the DMP is concerned. Eventually they will give up, but some are worse than others, so keep plugging away at it. If it is really giving you the hump then you could do call blocking?

Keep going, they will get fed up. They really want to get some more money out of you.0

My top advice for a peaceful Christmas change your phone number for free! Its definately a ploy to make you pay more they don't care about pro rata payments and everyone being treated fairly they want huge chunks of the pie!
Seriously if you can't cope with it get your phone number changed if you need to explain it away to family you were having a lot of junk calls and make sure you pick ex-directory for your next number.0 -
We got a BT package which gave us a 2nd number on the line for friends and family to use. It doesn't go dring dring it just goes driiing and we know someone is calling the 2nd number. We then stopped answering the first number unless the called ID said a number we knew on it. I think it is called call sign but I'm not sure. It is only a few pounds a quarter and included alarm calls and unlimited press 5 when the line is engaged. Sorry don't know all the names.
Much cheaper than getting a second number and you can give the new number to people who you want to phone you. I've never had cold calling on the 2nd number either as I limit who gets it. Family, friends, doctor, school etc, anyone I need to pick up the phone to.
Remember to tell them you do not want the number listed as it is for family0 -
hi
I received calls for about 2-3 months from creditors. I have just paid 7th payment to cccs. Apart for the odd letter/statement i have not had any calls since about month 3.
It is really hard and does get you down but you have done everything correct and cccs do send the details it is just that most large companies receive the letter and payment and they then have to forward dmp details on to another part of the company (somewhere in space i think) lol. They do receive the plan it is just a way of trying to scare you out of the plan and pay more and the strong worded letters do not help either.
I had one advisor telling me not to go with cccs and do my own plan.
I had some hard times at the beginning but its not easy doing a plan but it does get better and you are in control and being responsible as well.
We have paid back £2,800 so far and when i get down i think of it that way.
take care and good luck with it all
bye for now0 -
