Claiming council tax dated back to 2002

Options
As we all face testing time with money, I like many others have looked to look at cutting costs.

I have decided to challenge the council tax band that I have been charged since we moved in nearly 20 years ago.

After gathering all the required evidence I have won my case and my band has been reduced from a band E to a band D.

Over the time this is a considerable amount of money that I have been overcharged and I would like it back.

Does anyone have any similar experience that they can share on how to go about retrieving my money?

Any advice will be more than welcome.

Many thanks

Your council should now automatically refund any overpaid CT. It can take several weeks though.
If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales
