Ok so been shopping. Spent £56, but thought it got my lidl app to work but it hadn’t. Which is rather annoying. OH paid today and I managed to get the bits and pieces I needed. I think we’ve got enough for dinners this week. Lidl was very sparse of what we normally buy though, no cheap choc bars at all, no cheap yoghurts etc.

    Meals will be:
    Spag bol
    Hot dogs
    Beans and jackets
    omElette
    fajitas
    chicken curry
    chicken something

@missymoo81 - if your Lidl app isn't working have you tried updating it?  I had to do an update to mine a couple of weeks ago.  Certainly worth trying.  If that doesn't work then maybe delete it and reinstall it.

Thanks @joedenise I will try just gutted I missed using it.

So today on this very hot day I’m going to try and do not a lot. I’ve already washed my hair and got the children to shower. They’ve made their breakfast and I’m just having a quick cuppa, so tired, we got about 4 hours sleep.

I’ve got a wash load in and would like to wash the sheets from the childrens beds and the duvets etc. I could also do with putting mine and the childrens clothes away, I don’t think I’ve done it for about a month….. all the clean clothes either get used or sit in baskets. Such a bad habit as we have sooo many piles of clean washing and it takes forever to put away.

    Will update more later

@missymoo81 - I found the best way of keeping the clean washing up to date was by putting piles of clothes on each person's bed - that way they needed to be put away before getting into bed.  Not sure if that would work for you but might be worth a try once you get up to date.

It's far easier to put them away as soon as a wash has been dried, folded (ironed if you do that, I don't!) rather than piling them up.

I'm another one who doesn't do much ironing. I just put the load away as soon as it is dry. In this weather that isn't long after it has been washed!

Well I was good, I sorted the washing straight off the line, I put mine away, OH puts his away and I need to put allllll of the Childrens stuff away tomorrow.
i love the idea of putting stuff on the bed and having to put it away before getting into bed, but I know what I’m like and I will just put it on the floor 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️.

That’s a job for tomorrow. Found the cat had weed all over the cushions in the bedroom whilst I was out getting cat litter. Not his fault but rather annoying. Have washed those and they’re outside drying.

Have a chicken and potato Maggi bag thing in the oven right now. OH has just fitted the new battery to the car and hopefully that should, fingers crossed, be it fixed! Which is a bit of a turn up for the books. Don’t get me wrong battery was £130 and garage charged £250
to figure out what was wrong. But considering we’d taken it to two other people and they couldn’t fix it and it was getting undrivable. I can only be very happy about it.

have my friend coming over tomorrow with her two babies, I will make us some cheese toasties and whip us up some muffins too.

Morning, yesterday was lovely with my friend round. We went for a walk and I bought some huge bunches of rhubarb 2 punnets of black currants and 4 courgettes for £3.50. From a neighbour. Not necessarily needed but I thought me and the children could make some
jam and some crumble and I’ll put the courgette in a curry.

Half typed this and then had to get ready for school. Am now in the city, drinking my free coffee, I did have a muffin, but that was half price, and I also asked for tap water, not bad for £1.05. Had to come into the city as have no smart clothes that fit!!!! Have testing for my poss new career tomorrow. And I have to be smart. So have come to Next, they have some things but I was hoping to buy a suit for poss interview and just wear a different shirt and no jacket for tomorrow but obv they don’t have it in stock. Think I’ve managed to find something. But will need to see if I can get a jacket to match. Any thoughts on where to get cheap shirts that look expensive?

I just wanted to say Thanks for always being there you lot. Can I ask the hugest favour if I may. I have 3 exams and a fitness test tomorrow. Would you mind, if you can spare any, sending your positive thoughts my way tomorrow morning. I’m going to really give it my all but would love your helpful thoughts too.

    Thank you x

With all your fitness I'm presuming you are a fairly small size, and I've found that charity shops always have lots of blouses and smart tops in size 10 -16. Bigger and smaller sizes not so much. If not, Primark might have something or TK Maxx, or the supermarkets that sell clothes are fairly reasonable.

Sending lots of positive thoughts you way.  You'll ace this!

Thanks @RelievedSheff and @Elisheba I really appreciate it. TK Maxx might be a good idea. I’m generally an 8 but a very difficult shape to fit. Big shoulders and arms but tiny waist and big bum and legs. It’s a nightmare to get anything to fit that isn’t gym clothes. Hence why I spent most of my time in them. I’ve had a quick look on eBay and I can’t really find any shirts. I will check on Vinted I think. Shoes wise I bought a pair today as I have bottowed a friends pair in the past to wear with dresses. Like when I went to London. But I really should give them back. But I managed to get a very similar pair today in Clarks for £28 when they should have been £75. So I’m happy about that. They will do me for years to come but I’m not sure how they will look under trousers.

I’ve got a pair which are a bit too high and grey instead of black and rather uncomfortable, but they might do. And they had lots of white dots showing where some of the material had come off, (think like fish scales). They sound amazing don’t they lol. Anyway. I found a matching felt tip Pen and I’ve, well, I’ve coloured them in…… obv a temporary fix as it won’t be waterproof, but they look perfect now. So May have to wear those tomorrow, I have also drawn all over my hands too. So hopefully that comes off!

I spent £55 on shirt and trousers. And £38 in a sports shop, where I got 6 Christmas presents all half price! So I’m not unhappy about that!

I’m feeling rather lazy after my city trip. Have done some washing and hung it out but that’s where I’ve stopped. I’ve got an hour and a half before I do the school run. Going to have a cuppa and a cake.
