Clearing my debts!

I have been in an awful position with debts and I have managed to clear all but 1 of them! Which I am so so relieved and proud of. The last debt is with Audi FS. I haven’t received any letters from them so I have been calling and asking to settle the debt. To which they’ve advised it’s no longer with them and is with a debt collection company. I have called Audi and Lester Aldridge back and forth now for months and both say the other is dealing with my debt! It’s been months of calling/emailing. Being told someone will call me back and they don’t, my emails don’t get responses from both Audi and Lester Aldridge. What do I do?! How am I supposed to settle an account that nobody seems to know exists?! I told Audi I would just bank transfer the amount however as they said they’re no longer looking after the account this wouldn’t be possible. Help!

Try and relax, the owner of the debt will write to you, eventually, until then, there`s nothing you can do.

Does it show on your credit record? When did you default on it? I would stop chasing and just look to see if it shows up on your credit history through Experian or credit karma (previously Noddle)

I agree with the above - you’ve tried your best - set the money to clear it aside in an interest bearing savings account and wait to be contacted, if you ARE contacted.

Oh - and a MASSIVE well done on clearing all your other debts too - great achievement!
