Accounting Job Advice

Hello, my name is Randall, and I work as an accountant. I am currently looking for a job in the accounting field. Due to personal reasons, I have a career gap. For me, having a job is more important now. I need to focus on my career. I tried several methods, but none worked well. Is it hard to find a job because of a career gap? and I'd like to find work that will allow me to advance in my career. How could I find helpful advice and guidance?

What methods have you tried?
Depends on the reason for the career gap, whether it's been resolved, likelihood of it happening again and how well it's explained on the CV / at an interview.
Have you kept up with CPD, registrations etc?
An agency may be able to help you secure temp / FTC work as that will demonstrate current experience.
Wouldn't the plan you originally had, when opting for a career in accountancy, still be viable with a few tweaks.
What advice / guidance do you want / need?
Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.0 -
depends on how long the career gap is and what you took the gap for. people take a break to go travelling or to raise a family. if the gap is not huge then it shouldn't be a problem but if you have a gap of 5 years or more, it may become a ticking point.0

Also depends on how much experience you had prior to the break... 20 years post ACCA and take a year off for travelling is unlikely to be an issue, take a year off in celebration of getting your ACCA will raise more concerns.0
