Abbey National Mortgage Charge Removal

I'm having an absolute nightmare trying to have an old Abbey National mortgage charge removed from land registry. Proposed completion dates on my parents house sale have come and gone. The call centres can't/won't help and I'm not able to speak to the admin department in charge directly. We're now numerous calls and 3 weeks in with a stalled house sale. Can anyone advise what I can do next ?

Our solicitor has called the santander call centre numerous times as have I

Constantly ringing people is unlikely to expedite matters. If the matter is in hand. Then someone will deal with it in due course. Covid not unsurprisingly has caused a backlog of work. Not aided by the stamp duty holidays ending.

I hope you don't mind me asking all this time after but, how did you resolve this!? We're going through the exact same problem atm! Three weeks after the sale should have completed we're being held up, waiting on Santander!!
