Declare or not

Options
Hello

I was discharged in 2016 and I recently looked at my credit report and I can't see it anywhere.

Is this an error?

I am saving up to buy a house, do I need to declare I once was bankrupt?

If the mortgage lender asks the question, then yes.  You are required to answer any questions on your application honestly. Getting caught committing mortgage fraud, or even submitting a fraudulent application, will not serve you well.

And you are being naive if you think that CRA reports are the only sources of data that the lender will check.

The entry is removed six years after it was placed there so if your discharge was one year after bankruptcy date, then it is correct that it is now gone.
