PMP Recruitment for Amazon

Asking on behalf of a friend, pls advise if you or anyone you know had similar experience and how it resolved.
My friend applied for an Amzon warehouse role via PMP, they talked to her, confirmed her pay rate per hour, ran her background check and even made her to attend their induction sessions with PMP. After the induction session and mandatory online HSE test, a person from PMP called her and confirmed her Day 1 (start date) at Amazon and the time to attend onsite.
She went to the Amazon warehouse as per the shift time, the amazon Manager/trainer confirmed that he found her name on the list but her employee ID has not been generated by PMP yet. Apparently emp ID is must to tag her hours (and pay) so he advised her to leave and return back once the PMP guys confirm the employee ID.
She then started trying to talk to PMP guys (emailing the PMP supervisors for the site), the ones that spoke to her before and tried reaching them even using the 'Contact us' form in the PMP recruitment site. All her efforts to contact them and get an understanding of what had happened, when can she start again all have gone in vain. I am trying to convince her to calm down and wait for atleast 5/6 working days before giving up hopes completely.
I will be grateful if anyone else had a similar experience to this and how it ended? If not, what could be the reason why they are just ignoring her emails/is there any phone number that she could contact them on?

Could be off sick? especially in these times. I recently got a new job where I expected to start much sooner then I did (different institution to this though) - it was held up due to sickness I learnt after the first refused call by line manager. In the end it became a right race to get me started as otherwise I wouldn't have been paid until 26th December... The payroll/staff identifier number was indeed one of the last things to come through if I remember right. I would rather have started when they were fully ready but I think I would always have dreaming on that one.
Hope your friend gets sorted and least this shall be a bump, if anyone knows anything better for yourselves.0
