This might have been asked before but what’s everyone’s thoughts on Costco…… is the membership worth it? And if so what do you buy from there?
I’m thinking of joining

We haven't really got our money's worth out of it last year, but on the whole I think it's cost effective if you have storage space - though, I would warn you it is very easy to overspend.
What we buy - bread flour in 15 kg bags, fabric conditioner in 5 litre containers, maple syrup, 2-packs of Hellman's mayonnaise, sweet chilli sauce in 2x1 litre bottles, chocolate chips (in 1kg bags), multi packs of pitta breads or chapattis, manchego, swedish meatballs and goat's cheese logs - the last 3 we portion up and freeze. Also, they do trays of danish pastries which are useful for parties etc.
I don't tend to buy their meat as I'm not sure of the production values (though their Angus beef-burgers are huge and very nice). I hear their optician section is really good as well.2024 Fashion on the Ration - 10/66 coupons used

The nearest store is a bit of a trek from me, so I only go about 4 or 5 times a year, but I do think it's worth the membership price. I often take family so they can see/buy.As stated it is very easy to buy loads of stuff.Be aware that VAT can be added on top of some of the products. They have food/drink samples running during the day so you can grab those to try.The multi-packs of muffin buns are lovely and well worth the money, as are the croissants. The large birthday cakes are cheap and cheerful. The in-store cafe is reasonably priced, it doesn't have a lot of variety eg it sells slices of pizza, cottage pies and mango smoothies to name a few..“You’re only here for a short visit.

Love Costco I do a monthly shop there but i do have a large amount of storage for frozen and dried goods best to go with a friend if they have a card to make a note of prices and decide if you have room for storing itemsSlava Ukraini2

we have had a membership for about 10 years and its fun to visit and the cafe is nice not as cheap as it was but still cheap. I think the prices in there are ridiculous meat is very expensive(im sure its nice) fruit and veg is comedy prices. All the kirkland things we have had have been excellent qualityonwards and upwards1

If you are shopping for yourself or are part of a couple, buy yourself a giftcard for Costco. You don't need a membership to use a giftcard. Easiest way to try it out and see if it's a good fit.
I've had a membership a couple of times and haven't missed it. Dry dog food is reasonably priced if it's a brand that your dog eats. We just found the packaging too big for a couple (we did try sharing purchases with our sons) But as others have said, we'd go off piste quite easily. Go in for milk and bread and $300 later....
