:staradminWhat I did a couple of years ago, was put 4 of the little hooks in the corners of my pvc (plastic white part) of window.:staradmin
(When I say "put", what I really mean is push and twist and hammer them in, which is hard for me being female:female:)
They are not that noticeable and I put 1 to the side of window, about 12 inches from floor to wrap the cable on to before plugging them in.
:staradminYou could also try picture hooks into the wood frame/outer which I used in my bedroom this year as it does hurt fingers twisted the hooks into the plastic. :staradmin
:staradminI also use large pieces of blue tac around the outer edges.:staradmin
Hope this helps anyone.
If not, it may give you some ideas while you brouse for similar items/ideas in the diy stores.

I use those clear suction cup hooks and stick them onto the glass instead of the UPVC and they seem to stay fine and can't really be seen too much0

Not sure if good for the windows but I have stuck the sticky pads up using a drop of super glue certainly worked for me.Nothing Changes if Nothing Changes0

After mine fell down for the 4th time I scrunched them into a ball, stamped on them twice and threw them in the back of the cupboard - evil, evil things!0

I have extending net curtain poles that just spring to the size you need without damaging the windows. I wonder if you could get one of those to drape your lights on. They are quite cheap in Wilkos.Anyone who lives within their means suffers from a lack of imagination:beer:

I had mine over my chimney breast, it fell down 3 times before I cried and threw them across the room. What's annoying me the most is the stupid sticky pads are still stuck up there and won't come off the wall. It's the plastic bit which won't stick to the pad it was provided with! gaaah!
Bin em, open your curtains and watch the lights in the house over the road"The great pleasure of a dog is that you may make a fool of yourself with him and not only will he not scold you, but he will make a fool of himself too."- Samuel Butler0
